• The depth of your proposed conservatory does not exceed 4 metres on a detached property
• The depth of your proposed conservatory does not exceed 3 metres on a semi-detached property
• Your conservatory is less than 4 metres high
• Your conservatory is separated from your property by an external door, or patio or French doors
Finally, if you live in a listed building, a national park, conservation area, World Heritage site or Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, different rules apply and planning permission will be needed.
